Strong communities need engaged adults and supported seniors.

In the "Apply My Donation To" field, select which program you’d like to support. We recommend splitting your donation between programs if possible.

Selecting "North Coast Opportunities" enables staff to apply your donation to the program(s) with the greatest need.

Redwood Caregiver Resource Center (RCRC)-- Lake, Mendocino, Sonoma, Humboldt, Del Norte, Solano, Napa Counties
Caregivers look after our most vulnerable. They need care, too.

Caring for a loved one with a brain disorder forever changes the lives of families and caregivers. There can be devastating and taxing effects on those providing long-term care. Since 1985, RCRC has been providing free or low-cost services to family caregivers of adults with brain impairments due to injury or disease and caregivers of the frail elderly. Services strive to address the emotional, physical, and financial need of these caregivers through information and resource referral, workshops, research, counseling, support groups, and care planning. Building Homes, Building Lives (BHBL)--Lake County
Provide economically insecure adults training in a fulfilling career pathway

BHBL is a rewarding mentoring program that provides participants, who are homeless or formerly homeless, with hard and soft job skills in general construction and job readiness to retain long-term employment. Participants are paid for their time and at the end of the program, each graduate receives a letter of recommendation, a certificate of completion, job placement opportunities, and on-the-job equipment. Of the six students who graduated from the spring 2021 cohort, five secured full-time employment! BHBL works closely with community partners who share a common goal to promote workforce development opportunities, and with NCO's New Digs to rehab affordable housing units for their clients. Leadership Mendocino--Mendocino County
The need for active, engaged community leadership has never been more critical

Leadership Mendocino seeks to strengthen our communities by fostering local leaders that are inspired to get involved and make a difference in Mendocino County. Every year Leadership Mendocino, brings people together from different sectors and professions, ages, and cultural backgrounds to learn and share in what makes our county great and their sharpen leadership skills. After 9 months, students have made lasting professional and personal connections and embark on a project benefitting the community. More than 700 residents have graduated from Leadership Mendocino over the 27 years it has been in operation going on to serve on Boards, fundraise for projects, and making lasting impacts in our county. In 2020, the program was unable to hold class due to COVID-19 restrictions. The program relies heavily on student tuition and class sponsorships from local organizations and this hiatus impacted the program's funding. Help Leadership Mendocino continue its long legacy of fostering local leaders--give today! Learn more about Leadership Mendocino here.
